UTP’s 3D printed monoblade

This unique auto part was designed specifically for Dodge trucks, Jeeps and other vehicles running the 1993-2003 Dodge Magnum series engines. The stock throttle body specifically flows 600cfm of air to supply each engine the air needed to be mixed with fuel for horsepower. The UTP 108mm flows 1285cfm, greatly increasing the torque and horsepower the Magnum engine can produce. What is truly unique is that the throttle body is mainly 3d printed. Most traditional throttle bodies are cast aluminum or even CNC machined. This one is a thermoplastic designed for high engine heat areas. Its production starts with AutoCad design files. The file was created and designed with extensive measuring and sampling from stock throttle bodies. The file is then sent to the super precision HP Fusion Jet SLS laser printer. The powder used in the machine is a specific recipe of Nylon and ten percent glass for strength. Once produced, the unit is cleaned and cooled, packaged and sent to the Utawesome Machine shop. “CFM was tested at 1285cfm, more than the best 1000cfm competitors throttle body” UTP takes and original throttle body, removes the linkage and shaft that were factory produced at the Dodge Mexico Casting plant from 1993-2003. UTP then has a roll of T6 aluminum then forms with a CNC stamp machine, the 108mm oval throttle blade.  The next step is the assembly of the shaft, linkage and blade. After this the brass inserts for the machine screws are then headed and inserted into the thermoplastic housing. Once completed the unit is boxed up in USPS priority mail. It is truly a work of art and thermoplastics are nothing new in the automotive industry.
